Introduction to the Annual Philips intellectual property scholarship
Philips awards scholarship of 5000 RMB for students with outstanding performance and research ability. Annual Philips Scholarships is 25000 RMB for five students.
2005-2006 academic year
After two semesters, about 300 JM students selected the Philips-Fudan IP courses, 11 students were honored “the best student, among whom Sun Yiwu, Wu Xiaoyun, Dong Xifan, Zhou Yabin, Ceng Shenjuan received "Philips intellectual property scholarship" 5000 RMB. On September 6, 2006, Mr. Joost Bekkers and Professor Zhang Naigen on behalf of both sides issued certificate of merits for students.
2006-2007 academic year
Zhang Ruijia, Gao Wenxing , Li Xiangnan, Tang Yizhe and He Xiaojun (the first semester) and Zheng Zhong, Zhang Yun, Lu Lei and Yao Feng (the second semester) were titled "the best student", Shang Jing, Jiang Chao, Yang Shaolan, Zhang Ping and Fan Wen van were awarded RMB 5000 scholarships for excellent thesis . On October 11, 2007, the award ceremony for 2006-2007 academic year was held in room 6405. Professor Zhang Naigen, who is responsible for Philips - Fudan intellectual property teaching cooperation, presided over the ceremony. Jack E. Haken, Philips Vice President of IP&S (US), awarded the winners on behalf of Philips. The graduate students selecting Philips intellectual property course for this semester attended the awards ceremony.

2007-2008 academic year
In 2008 spring semester, Grégory BAQUE director of Philips (China) IP&S taught the basic course of intellectual property law. On the afternoon of February 29, 2008, he issued the certificate on behalf of Philips for Zhang Wei, Yun Lei, Zhang Ping, Zheng Zhong, Xu Xijun, “the best student" for the first semester of 2007-2008 academic year. At the same time ,he announced that the excellent thesis of Shang Jing, Jiang Chao, Yang Shaolan, Zhang Ping and Fan Wen ,who got scholarship in the 2006-2007 academic year have been published on the website of Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO) in United States. The JM selecting Philips intellectual property courses for this semester attended the awards ceremony.
The award ceremony for 2007-2008 academic year was held in room B203 on September 22, 2008. Professor Zhang Naigen, who is responsible for Philips - Fudan intellectual property teaching cooperation, presided over the ceremony, Jack E. Haken, Vice President of IP & S (US), awarded the winners on behalf of Philips. The graduate students selecting Philips intellectual property courses for this semester attended the awards ceremony. The 2007-2008 school year Philips intellectual property scholarship recipients were Qiu Yuanke (07 JM), Wang Jiaqiang (06 JM), Piao Huilan (06 JM), Zhang Ping (06 JM) and Zheng Zhong (06 international law LL.M) .Last term "the best student" were titled by Li Jingxiong, Li Hanqi, Hua Xun, Yu Fei and Wan Yu.
2008-2009 academic year
After the two semester of 2008 -2009 academic year, about 150 students took the elective Philips - Fudan intellectual property course taught in English by visiting professors on" intellectual property law", "patent law" and "trademark and copyright law". Mu Li, Wang Lu, Wu Jialei, Wang Lisha and Zhao Qianying won honorary title of "best students .Bao Liwei, Wang Lu, Yang Liu, Wang Lisha and Zhang Xu received "Philips intellectual property scholarship" (RMB 5000 per person). On the morning of September 29, 2009 in Jiang Wan campus, Philips accredited expert professor Jack E. Haken and Professor Gregory Baque respectively presented awards for students. Professor Zhang Naigen, on behalf of the intellectual property education cooperation projects, presided over the ceremony.
2009-2010 academic year
In 2009 -2010 school year, Han Lu, Huang Shaohua, Zhang Xin, Li Shang and Fang siyue won the "Philips intellectual property scholarship" (per RMB 5000). On the afternoon of September 6th, 2010 in Jiang Wang campus , Professor Zhang Naigen ,on behalf of the intellectual property education cooperation projects, presided over the ceremony and expressed sincere thanks to professor Jack C. Haken for his supporting our college intellectual property education over the years. Philip will issue a certificate for student who has taken the three courses during the 2010-2011 academic year.

2010-2011 academic year
Fudan University intellectual property education project was sponsored by Royal Dutch Philips. From 2005 to 2011, 886 JM and LLM students have taken the elective Philips - Fudan intellectual property courses "intellectual property law", "patent law" and "the international trade of intellectual property law (trademark and copyright law.)", taught by visiting professor .In 2010 -2011 school year, Ye Yuerong, Zhang Nan, Zou Jie, Zhao Yan and Liu Yang won the "Philips intellectual property scholarship" (RMB 5000 per person). On the afternoon of October 11th, 2011 in Jiang Wan campus, Philips accredited expert, Visiting Professor Jack E. Haken awarded the winning students.

Philips - Fudan intellectual property teaching
Book donation ceremony in 2007
Philips - Fudan intellectual property teaching is based on the cooperation agreement signed in December, 2004 between Philips (China) Investment Limited Company and Fudan University. It was established in May, 2005 and now is renewed to 2009. Since September 2005, Philips hired senior intellectual property experts from United States, Europe for Fudan university to teach courses like "intellectual property law", "patent law" and "copyright and Trademark Law" . More than 350 JM students and nearly 30 LL.M students took these courses. Philips provided a full range of free textbooks for students and donated books valued 50,000 RMB to library information center of law school every year.
The 2007 school year book donation ceremony was held on November 8th in Law School Information Center. Professor Zhang Naigen, responsible for Philips - Fudan intellectual property teaching cooperation presided over the ceremony. Jack E. Haken, vice president of
Philips intellectual property and standard department, on behalf of Philips formally handed the books to Gu Jiawei , a librarian of law school information center.

According to 2007-2009 school year Philips -Fudan intellectual property teaching cooperation agreement, Philips provide the reference books for graduate students in law school taking the elective Philips intellectual property courses .They donated English books valued one hundred thousand yuan in 2006, 2007 and fifty thousand yuan professional books in 2008 .In 2008, ceremony for donation of the first books held in the afternoon of October 28 in Li Zhaoji Library. Mr. Jack. Haken on behalf of Philips, gave the books to the library director Zhu Qin. Professor Zhang Naigen, in charge of the Philips - Fudan intellectual property teaching cooperation project, presided over the book donation ceremony.
